What Are The Germiest Things
In A Restaurant?
Introducing the Silver Slippers
Eating utensils, namely knives, forks and spoons are staples of tableware in the restaurant industry. Restaurants turnover hundreds of customers a day with little time to properly clean table tops between customers. Eating utensils are often washed and then rolled in napkins at the end of a restaurant shift to be given to customers or placed on tables, awaiting customers. The germs from the table, therefore, transfer to the eating utensils and in turn to the customers mouth. A need exists for a clean barrier between eating utensils and dirty surfaces, such as restaurant tables.
We are pleased to announce that SILVER SLIPPERS has recently been awarded a fully approved US Patent…
for their product thereby insuring the integrity of the product as well as the materials for production of said product and intent of the product to provide hygienic value!
The government confirmation along with FDA Assessments add an extra measure of confidence to this hygienically protective product!

Product Response From Some Industry Professionals…
“Thank you for bringing this to our attention. You make a good point that restaurant tables may not be fully cleaned between customers, and eating utensils placed directly on the tables could pick up germs. An innovative solution that addresses this problem is definitely worthwhile.
The Silver Slipper concept you described aims to provide a clean barrier between utensils and surfaces like tables, which could help prevent cross-contamination. Some factors that may impact the effectiveness and feasibility of this approach include:
The material and design of the slipper - it would need to act as an effective barrier without being too bulky or awkward for customers to use. Antimicrobial properties could also help.
The Silver Slipper is a two layer (top & bottom) slipper, made of the same material as the masks worn during the COVID pandemic, inclusive of the meltblown material! Additionally, the slipper has been tested in the factory by the FDA and passed all tests!
Ease of use - the slipper would need to be simple for customers and staff to handle without disrupting the dining experience. Ease of use was maintained through a very simple, creative ease of use design!
Cleaning/sanitizing - the procedures would be required to properly sanitize the slippers between each use to maintain their protective function. This is a non-issue as the slipper is for one-time use and fully disposable!
Overall it seems a utensil slipper could fill an important hygiene need if designed & implemented properly!
